130830-N-NS216-005PACIFIC OCEAN (August 30, 2013) – Aviation Ordnanceman 1st Class Marqueta Rodgers poses for a full-length photo, which will be digitized onto fabric and made into a doll. Sailors and Marines aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4) had the chance to participate in the Daddy/Mommy Dolls Program sponsored by the American Red Cross. It gives children of deployed Sailors and Marines a missing piece from home and helps them cope during the separation of deployment. Boxer is currently underway for a regularly scheduled deployment as part of the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group (BOXARG), comprised of Boxer, the amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans, (LPD 18), the amphibious dock landing ship USS Harper's Ferry (LSD 49) and the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU). U.S Navy Photo by Mass Communication Specialist 1st Class Jennifer Gold/RELEASED.
