130624-N-IY633-174 SOUTH CHINA SEA (Jun. 24, 2013) – Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Janmark Rivera directs an SA-330J Super Puma, assigned to Military Sealift Command dry cargo/ammunition ship USNS Washington Chambers (T-AKE 11), as the helo deposits cargo pallets on the flight deck of the forward-deployed amphibious dock landing ship USS Tortuga (LSD 46) during an underway replenishment. Tortuga is part of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group, currently on deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility in support of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2013. CARAT is a series of bilateral military exercises between the U.S. Navy and the armed forces of Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Timor Leste.
