PACIFIC OCEAN (May 7, 2013) – Seaman Joseph Toth describes the lee helmsman’s job to embarked “tigers” during a ship tour aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5). “Tigers” are embarked guest and family members of Sailors and Marines who are stationed aboard Peleliu and the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. Peleliu is the flagship for the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group retuning from deployment to the western Pacific region with the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20), the amphibious dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47), and the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
