SAN DIEGO (June 10, 2011) -- Information Systems Technician Seaman Landon Green, from Trimble, Mo., and Yeoman Seaman Thomas Meriwether, from Dallas, Texas, successfully completed the Surface Rescue Course Category 1, a four-week course focused on basic lifesaving procedures and equipment.
Precommissioning Unit (PCU) San Diego (LPD 22), currently completing construction in Pascagoula, Miss., is the fourth ship named for the city and the sixth ship in the San Antonio class.
