Slumbering Steel
On the opposite side of the ridge overlooking the Little Missouri River in the Bear's Den of North Dakota sits some serious heavy machinery cutting a road and creating another a new oil drilling location. As a field geologist in the Oil & Gas Industry, I am inevitably torn by the stark contrast of natural beauty and the energy needs of humans. From this location, I can hop a fence and walk about 50' to the stunning Little Missouri River Valley seen in some of my other photographs.
