Bighorn Sheep Sunbathing

I saw these ewes and lambs from a distance and was able to quietly get much closer before they became aware of my presence. One of these ewes has a collar on its neck, I assume the FWS and/or the NPS is tracking her movements. This group was soaking up the afternoon sun in the Badlands of North Dakota along the Little Missouri River. Right now they are not all that beautiful as they haven't finished shedding their winter coats.
