The Royal Palace of Madrid, Spain

The Royal Palace of Madrid is the official residence of the Spanish Royal Family at the city of Madrid, although now only used for state ceremonies. The palace has 135,000 square metres (1,450,000 sq ft) of floor space and contains 3,418 rooms, making it Europe’s largest palace based on floor area. The interior of the Royal Palace of Madrid houses priceless art, paintings, frescoes, watches, porcelain and many other treasures including the world’s only complete Stradivarius sting quintet.
