Perseid Meteor Shower, 2011 (NASA, Marshall, 8/09/11)

On the night of Tuesday, Aug. 9, the skies over Huntsville, Ala. were filled with images of the Perseids meteor shower. This year, the Perseids shower will peak on August 12 and, weather permitting, it will be a sight you won't want to miss. This image shows ALL meteors seen by the all sky camera at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville on the night of Aug. 9
