Caldwell 6
This view of billowing clouds of gas around the dying star at the center of the Cat’s Eye Nebula (Caldwell 6) was taken by Hubble’s Wide Field and Planetary Camera 2 in 1994. In this image, different colors are assigned to different wavelengths of light: red shows hydrogen, blue shows oxygen, and green shows nitrogen.
