This work is intrigueing. At first glance, it's pretty straight forward and simple. But, take a second look. Notice the stormy clouds rolling in, almost over taking the dark, jagged rock formations, as the sunlight creates a spotlight where it breaks through the clouds. Inside the shaft of sunlight , one notices the birds of prey looking for a meal. At the bottom of that sunbeam , ones eyes come to rest on a turbulent, white-water, violent surf pounding onto the shore. The tide is surging forward onto the black sandy beach. And then you see it. The lone beach comber, attempting to escape the angry waters.
I love a picture that tells a story. Bravo Kristinn!

My guardian- my compass- my shade- my comfort. I have lived my entire life within the sight of this mountain. When I've been disoriented, a quick glance at Mt. San Gorgonio gives me my bearings. (in this picture, the viewer is gazing due North. This is the view I grew up with, from the front door of my parents home.) Locals call this Mountain "Mount Baldy".
