Israeli satellite TV company yes took off the Star World channel today.
"Star World" was a strange channel. It's an Asian television channel that only broadcasts western programs.
I remember myself many years ago, back when we only had analog cable connection, I used to switch to this channel when bored, always surprised by classic American shows such as Mork & Mindy, Mr Belvedere, Small Wonder and others.
Later they imported some more modern shows, and since then it was always an alternative to the same old stuff at the usual channels. Just click 27 and watch some favorite episodes of Buffy, Angel, Simpsons, Seinfeld, Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond...
Also, the Christian missionary broadcasts and the Asia news, which were a bit less interesting but so appropriate for this weird channel.

I'll miss the odd commercials and the funny news segments.
I'll miss the option to watch an English-speaking program without subtitles or dubbing.
About a month ago the channel was moved from slot 27 to slot number 270. Today at 10:00 AM the channel's broadcast was replaced with this slide.
