Adventures of KM&G-Morris says: Pam and I share a love of the Gulf Coast and all the wonderful birds that wade along shorelines, fresh & salt water - makes no difference. She has captured my all time and always will be, favorite bird in a very majestic pose. However, the Laughing Gull didn't get it's name from being dignified. They are the clowns of the coastline.

Adventures of KM&G-Morris says: Beautiful capture of a very rare bird. The Snail Kite is only found in Florida and in a very small area. This is not only beautiful but so rare because of the limited area where you'll find them. Thanks to Dennis for sharing this beauty. You really must visit his photostream. He and Alan (below this one) have captured Florida at its best!

Adventures of KM&G-Morris says: From Kolkata, India comes a story of love and survival. When you click on this photo and go to Dr. HGM's photostream you must view the photos around this. Through a terrible storm, akin to our hurricane last year, this mother stayed on the nest and protected her young. There's even a video clip of how she was buffeted by wind and rain but never left the young. Amazing - a must see.

Adventures of KM&G-Morris says: Sometimes you just have to leave Houston to see a sight like this. Von, once a Houston resident, treks up into the mountains and hikes the area around his home in Utah. Such beauty in his photos. Click on the bird and visit - be sure to leave a comment.

Adventures of KM&G-Morris says: From Qatar, a shrike. The loggerhead shrike is common in Texas, this is another type but I'm sure has the same vicious characteristics and yet it's a very small bird of prey. Fascinating bird and this is beautiful.

Adventures of KM&G-Morris says: One of the things I wanted to do was visit Homer Alaska while the Eagle Lady was living. I missed my chance but here you see one of her eagles. Not really hers but they visited her daily. They were wild, free, and totally part of her world.

Adventures of KM&G-Morris says: What a beautiful capture of the Great Horned Owl. Amazing creatures - not often seen since they're scarce during the day. Lots more wonderful photos where I found this one. Go see and by all means comment.

Adventures of KM&G-Morris says: I love this bird and therefore, I love this photo. I hunted this bird for over a year before I got a photo and still I chase after it. Elusive as it can be and teases you my posing and flying just as you snap the photo.

Adventures of KM&G-Morris says: There really are things besides birds that I love and among those things are opossums, possums to us in the South - SW of the country. They are the sweetest little things when they're babies, easy to raise, hard to get rid of when they're grown. Oh, and they're smart and they stink!
