LEOPARD (Panthera pardus) ...MASAI MARA.....OCT 2020.
This leopard called Splitnose is one of the oldest ,largest , biggest ,distinctive and aristocratic Leopards (Panthera pardus pardus) in the Maasai Mara. He had had a busy morning, as he successfully brought down a Zebra and had been feeding on it the whole morning. Being a larger prey than they normally hunt he was unable to drag it up a tree and decided to sit out in the open and enjoy the fruits of his hard labour.
This shot was photographed during a photography safari on an early morning game drive in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya. dring my recent visit Oct 2020....
