U bein bridge in Amarapura, Myanmar
U BEIN bridge is a 1.2km wooden footbridge and the longest teak bridge in the world. There are several shelters on it where people are used to talking during evening. Located in the center of BURMA on the road between AVA and AMARAPURA, near of the MAHAGANDAYON monastery, it was built by the mayor U BEIN of AVA salvaging the unwanted teak columns from the old palace of INWA during the move to MANDALAY, new capital.
