Boy in Turgit Surma village - Ethiopia
You won't find Turgit on a map, it is a small village, south of Teppi, in the Surma - Suri area. The village is very clean, quiet, and people who live there have the chance to have a (very) little hospital, a school, and some water coming from the hills. They aslo have a church runned by a reverend who lives there for 16 years with his wife, and makes great work. But no electricity, no television, no cars, just small radios to have a window on the "modern" world. The main activity of the local men was to ask me batteries every morning! I was there during the football world cup, and the informations about the matches were complicated to get as people gave me differents results for the sames matches!
The first television is in Kibbish.
