Windmill at Sunset - Oia village, Santorini island, Greece

Oia, pronounced Ia, is the most famous of all villages of Santorini and it is located on the north of the island. The village is also situated on top of an impressive cliff and offers a spectacular view over the volcano of Palia and Nea Kameni and the island of Thirassia.

Santorini is a Greek archipelago, located in the Aegean Sea, hundreds of miles from the main islands of Greece and characterized by its white buildings with roofs painted and decorated in shades of blue.

Santorini was formed in the explosion of a volcano. In the center of the islands has formed a lagoon surrounded by numerous beaches of sand, stones or rocks. After the lava formed at the different parts of the island, Santorini is now several beaches formed by rocks or sand of different colors.
