Municipal Building, Springfield, Illinois

A view of Springfield mid-century modern Municipal Building as seen looking east from Howarth Plaza. Construction of the $1.75M building commenced in early 1959, with city offices moving into the completed structure in January, 1961. The building is now known as Municipal Center West. The building was designed by Springfield architects L. Philip Trutter and M. D. Turley.
