The Brothers (1 of 1)
The back story to this image, well known to my personal friends, is that these two guys gave me the experience of a lifetime. Without getting into the whole story, which I’ve published before, they managed to take down a full-grown male giraffe. This is a shot taken after they feasted and had a chance to clean themselves up. There’s something about their stature, no bravado, just going about their work as kings of the jungle. Here they are, a bonded pair, taking a well-deserved rest. I pay homage to them. (Panthera leo) (Canon 1DX, Canon 200-400 f/4 @ f/5.6, 1/320 second, ISO 1600)
