Fear
14/52
I do have a slight fear of heights, yes. However the strongest fear have might possibly be that of unfulfilled potencial. Strangely enough I first came with this realisation when I was about 10 and read on a book a quote from the Pope John XXII that read like this: "Consult not your fears but your hopes and your dreams. Think not about your frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential.". To read this at such a young age was kind of life changing, despite me not realising so until recently.
.
To live with hidden treasures such as goodness, trust, kindness and not being able to fully release them due to external or self impositions is something that I fight hard against. It's exhausting at times to swim so fiercely against evils so strong we lose the capacity to outgrow hope. Same goes to the art of creation or any other capacity we might have that might never see the light of day.
.
It takes such an immense leap of faith to just act gracefully upon your fears and forget not what moves your heart. Tu jump when you're afraid of heights, to swim when you're afraid of the depths of the ocean, to leave tour house when you are so tired of being afraid to have your heart crushed as you had so many times before. It takes a lot from us. But sometimes we need to become blind and think with what remains strong within. Sometimes we need to grow bigger than our limitations and let they become foundations for a reaction-fuelled future.
