Ballet of Lines
In capturing this ceiling at Istanbul Airport, I sought to isolate the pure essence of architectural lines that often surround us without our notice. Through tight framing and black and white conversion, I wanted to create an abstraction that transcends mere documentation of a place. The converging lines and X-formation immediately drew me in - they symbolize for me the very nature of airports: points of meeting, crossing, and separation. I deliberately eliminated any superfluous context so the viewer could immerse themselves in the hypnotic rhythm of the lines and appreciate how light plays with these textured surfaces. This image is my way of revealing the hidden beauty in everyday infrastructure and transforming a simple ceiling into a visual meditation on order, movement, and geometry.
