Trouble in Plymouth

This picture, looking out of a window on Amtrak's Empire Builder near Plymouth, Washington, indicates trouble. Due to a newly discovered broken rail up ahead, the train had to stop in this very location and wait until a track inspector could determine if the break was passable at a walking speed. It, indeed, turned out to be, but by the time that determination was made, I was treated to about an hour and a half of this view out the window of my roomette.
