Año Nuevo Island Light Station
We wanted so badly to explore the abandoned light station on Año Nuevo island. Ever since the light house fell over in a storm, the island has been left to nature and the cormorants. It looked so storied and pregnant with history. But alas, it's an island that only a very select few scientists and officials are allowed to visit. So I had to be content with a picture through my 600 mm equivalent lens. OTOH, it's public property... maybe I should insist. :)
