An average sized thrush. It is usually seen feeding on the ground in the undergrowth of forests. Can be seen between Nepal and South Vietnam and East China. It is generally brown in color, wavy in color on the neck and sides, and has a white chest and distinctive black markings on the face. They usually form relationships in large flocks. It has a semicircular chest band and minimal lines on the cheeks. It has classic thrush calls, a melodious song with a beautiful flute tone, and growling calls.
