Old Condon Ranger Station, Montana

Constructed in the early 1920s, Old Condon Ranger Station was once a year-round forest service administrative site. Now it's a popular forest service rental in Flathead National Forest, Montana for year-round travelers. The cabin has four floors, including the attic and basement, and can sleep around ten people. The three bedrooms upstairs have two bunkbeds, one twin bed and one queen size bed. It also has a fold down futon downstairs and a indoor bathroom with a flush toilet. This is one of the few forest service rentals that feature electricity plus hot and cold potable water year round. Also on the site are two original barns and a large open garage. Many trails can be accessed from the site and, in winter, the Old Condon Loop Road turns into a cross country ski trail. Currently the rental fee is $65 a night, but it's due to increase to $85 in 2018.
