Outward Reaching Roots ..
Imn May 2021 we packed up and headed for a local park, hiking deep into the woods.
This shot is of the south entrance just beyond the boardwalk, where two tall maples there have this massive root system that spreads across the ground like fingers burring themselves in the dirt and then resurfacing several feet away.
They are quite the trip hazard and i myself have stumbled when passing by; as you have to navigate over and among the many twisted gnarled roots on the path
