Homemade Mousse & Profiteroles

Happy Thanksgiving, friends! We are a bit non-traditional, but we enjoyed a good meal together, ending with a pretty fancy dessert--chocolate mousse-filled profiteroles topped with hot fudge sauce. The profiteroles & mousse were homemade. Usually, I serve the mousse in a graham cracker crust. This time, I thought I'd try something different! Pretty delicious!

 

Hershey Bar Pie

 

Ingredients

1 1/4 c. mini marshmallows

3/8 c. (3 fluid oz.) milk

1 1/2 c,. chocolate chips

1/2 pint whipping cream

1/4 tsp. salt

1 (9-inch) graham cracker crust

or profiteroles

 

Instructions

1. In medium saucepan over low heat (or in microwave), combine marshmallows with milk, chocolate, & salt and slowly melt, stirring often, until smooth. Remove from heat and cool 15 minutes. In separate bowl, whip cream until very stiff; fold into cooled chocolate mixture until well combined.

 

2. Pour pie filling into prepared graham cracker crust and chill several hours until firm or serve in profiteroles.
