A Rose....
On February 7, 2023, I had my gallbladder removed. Surgery went smoothly & recovery is doing the same. I got off pain pills after 2 days. Still have some soreness, but am, mostly, just figuring out how to eat without my gallbladder. Thankfully, this is one of those cases where one's body gives clear feedback if it's unhappy, so, over time, I should be able to figure it out. I am thankful to have this behind me before I get any older! I am thankful I'm retired & have the luxury of just taking care of myself. I am thankful for the many friends & relatives who've been praying for me. I am also thankful for my almost-daughter Courtney who drove me to & from the hospital & stayed overnight to make sure I was ok! The day after surgery, flowers were delivered from my grandchildren--a sweet surprise! The bouquet is on the coffee table in my living room. Every time I look at it, I smile! This is one of the roses from the bouquet.
