Unexplained Raccoon Behavior
Some of you will remember that, just over a year ago, our special treats blue bowl was removed from the deck & was found, months after, in the woods behind my house.
Recently, when my bedroom window was open during the night, I heard strange, scraping sounds from the deck, again. This time, I caught a raccoon in the act! He had managed to drag the new, green bowl across the deck & down most of the stairs. When I asked him what he was doing, he ran away without answering. I guess I'll never understand this behavior. Can anyone help? Taken in mid-April, 2010 in Columbia County, New York, USA.
