She Woke Me Up!

My favorite shot from today at Elmwood Park Zoo. The education specialist said she'd woken up this eastern box turtle so he could say hello to guests in the welcome center. She apologized that he wasn't more active.

 

I told her that the images I'd been able to take of the turtle yawning made the experience worthwhile.
