Cairn on Mohawk

While in Connecticut, we visited Mohawk Mountain, a skiing destination in wintertime. The view from the summit was beautiful; I'm partial to the green leaves of this beautiful season!

 

I found a cairn on Mohawk. People build them for various reasons. I wondered what had motivated someone to do the work to construct this one.
