Autumn Morning In Assiniboine
Still making my way through a pile of photos from our trip to Assiniboine last September. In this pano, the aptly named Sunburst Peak is to the right. There are a couple of trails that lead up to this location. Thinking that the cutoff might be faster on my way back to the Lake Magog Campground (it wasn't) and all downhill (it wasn’t) I took an earlier turn on my way back and ended up very alone on a very thin trail that wound it's way down to Cerulean Lake. After hearing from one of the park staff on the way in that a Grizzly mom and her cubs had been spotted around Magog recently, I made all kinds of noise on my way back. If you are ever on your way back from the Nub in Assiniboine, the main trail is the one to be on unless you want to get up close and personal with nature. :)
I had an incredible time shooting up there over those 4 days and I can’t wait to go back at some point. Still many more photos to come!
