A Defensive Display

Apparently this guy has a nesting mate nearby. Here, he seems to be defending his territory from two Canada Geese just of of the frame.

 

All was quiet and peaceful in the park. Suddenly there was a loud splashing and thrashing about, geese began honking then flew from the slough.
