Willow
Willow came to us from the same rescue that Xander did. We had decided that we had the room for two new kittens in our life so KFZ and I went to check out a local rescue. We entered a room full of cats and kittens an KFZ sat down in the middle of the floor and cats came to visit her. A black and white kitten they called Binky came over and planted itself in KFZ's lap. I indicated to the rescue worker that I thought the black and white one was probably one of them and we should start looking for the second and she told me that she didn't want to send Binky home with us. She told us she thought it was a fluke. Binky was not friendly and they did not consider her a good candidate for a house with a young child. Binky had clawed several people up who wanted to pet or hold her.
We looked at more kittens, but we had plans to go to ComicCon for the weekend so we were just there to do meet and greets and start the application process, but we were not bringing anyone home until the next week. When we got back into town we went to visit the rescue again. KFZ sat down in the middle of the room again and the black and white kitten immediately came over and planted herself in KFZ's lap. I looked at the rescue worker and she shrugged and said "Well maybe she didn't want to go home with those other people because she was waiting for this girl." They agreed to let us adopt Binky and then we looked around until we found tabby kitten that they were calling Casey. He was in the hospital room in a cage where are the sick cats were. We would need to take him home with meds and nurse him to health. Actually Binky also needed meds for an eye infection. It is difficult to keep so many cats in close quarters and not have them catch stuff.
So the two kittens came home with us and we named them Xander and Willow. Many of these photos are from KFZ's photostream because Willow spends more time with her.
