iPhone Unlock Warranty

If I tweak and tune and mod my new car, it's not a sign of

irresponsibility or illegal intent for which I should be penalized by

the manufacturer. If I "bricked" my new BMW, the dealer wouldn't look

at me in a scornful way and send me home or charge me with a DMCA

violation. They would tell me I screwed up and how much it would cost

to fix the car.

 

I'm sure the car manufacturers weren't happy with the guys screwing up

the cars in their back yards making hotrods but now the car

manufacturers get their R&D through NASCAR.

 

Sure Apple has a right to make a closed system, I just don't believe

people who want to make hotrods out of their iPhones should be looked

at as outlaws.
