on a quick trip to guanajuato over the weekend, i finally got to go up to the pipila statue/ lookout over the entire town. i don't have a wide-angle lens or you would be seeing something far more colorful and spectacular. fortunately, my lumix does have a decent 18x optical zoom. from my vantage point, these houses were on the far hillside of this very charming bowl-shaped colonial town. i was pleased to discover two people in the shot -- a woman leaning over the balcony rail and a man on the roof above her. "el pipila" is a local hero connected to the mexican war of independence from spain. you can see the statue and read about him here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_P%C3%ADpila
