LAGOS, Nigeria (Aug. 23 2012) Lt. Cmdr. Kelly Larson examines a child during a Medical Civic Action Program (MEDCAP). Medical personnel are embarked on Military Sealift Command Chartered-High Speed Vessel Swift’s (HSV 2) participating in Africa Partnership Station (APS) 2012 West. APS is an international security cooperation initiative, facilitated by Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa, aimed at strengthening global maritime partnerships through training and collaborative activities in order to improve maritime safety and security in Africa.
