Early Square Format: Infant In Indian Basket ("Dorothy Sisson Cinti. [Cincinnati ?] O. Aug 14 - 1898 Duplicate")

Uh, I think this little square format, which, with the mat, is like 5" by 5", is my favorite early format. I'll ask photo_history (Beverly) about it. I bet she'll be able to tell me something. they date from around the turn-of-the-century, and to my eye, the square format seems to have been a spur to more careful composition.
