Long way home

• She took the long way home one day,

Through fields where dusk and silence lay,

With gravel songs beneath her feet,

And twilight winds in whispers sweet.

The roads were worn, the map was torn,

Yet in her chest, a hope reborn.

She traced the stars with steady grace,

Each mile a memory she’d face.

And when she reached her waiting door,

She wasn't who she was before—

But stronger now, and not alone,

For every step had made her home.
