The mid-afternoon Sun is filtered through dust brought over the UK by ex-Hurricane Ophelia from Saharan dust storms and wildfires in Portugal. The sky in this capture - edited only with cropping but not in tone or colour - is dark oweing to the harsh contrast between it and the Sun.
