Skuta kirke
Skuta church can be found in Søndre land parish. It stands at Ringelia on the western side of the Randsfjord.
It was decided in 1912 that people of the area should have their own church. The church was built in 1915.
It was designed by architect Ole Stein, and inaugurated by Bishop Christen Brun, June 16, 1915.

Peder Skute, who owned the land where the church was to be built, was willing to refrain from charging for the land if two conditions were fulfilled; People in the local community should be buried free and the graves should last forever. These terms have been respected ever since.
The church got electric lighting in 1923 and electric heating in 1955. The cemetery got a water supply in 1956. A new organ was installed in 1985. The cemetery was taken into use in 1904. At this time no church had yet been built, but there was a bell tower at the cemetery.
Olsen Smedhaugen from Ringelia was the first to be buried after he was struck by lightning on July 22, 1904.
