Gemini US manned spacecraft, Monsanto art picture (1965)

New fluid helps harness Gemini heat: Keeps temperatures balanced inside the Gemini spacecraft-despite alternate flight through fiery sunlight and incredible cold. Inside gemini's space radiator is a special Monsanto fluid* Coolanol(R) 15 that cools hot systems, warms cold systems, and carries unwanted heat to the space radiator where it is released into space. The cabin, the astronauts' space suits, their oxygen, and vital electronic systems are all held within individual operating temperature ranges. Another example of Monsanto on the move to serve our space program. Monsanto, St. Louis, Missouri 63166. Developed for McDonnell, Gemini prime contractor for NASA. (1965)
