Lumber yards were still the rage, as they had been when Minneapolis was dubbed the Mill City for the timber industry, before grain took off. Above is the old Broadway bridge, and above that, the Northern Pacific trestle. The C.StP.M.and O.engine house is top center. ca. 1955
