Solitude of a Spitfire

Uploading this for the MacroMondays group theme of "Solitude".

The Spitfire is recognised as one of the symbols of the "successes" of the Second World War.

I cannot even begin to imagine what it was like to climb into one of those planes alone and head out of Europe or into Asia during the Second World War.

This was taken of a model aircraft carrier with the spitfire on the flightdeck. The model is found at the Royal Navy's very own Fleet Air Arm Museum near Yeovil in Somerset, UK. The museum is great place to visit, if you are ever in the area.

The image is straight out of the camera (SOOC).
