East Wheal Rose Lead Mine Chimney

This chimney stands 120 feet high, the mine opened in 1812, so the chimney is probably from that time. The top has recently been rebuilt by the Lappa Valley Railway. You see this chimneys at various points around Cornwall, just nice to get this close.

 

I think I need to get a hood for the camera, to stop those reflections on the lens. Or maybe someone can tell me what they are...
