If you put your nose on the concrete, this is probably what you'll see.

 

The final result will be 'sealed'. This is a clear coating, that will do two things.

 

1. Make it softer on your bare feet (no so sharp)

2. Makes it easier to clean, as dust can't get trapped so easily in between the pebbles.
