A Biometric Future
As many of you know, I'm a bit of a futurist, so like thought experiments on how the future could play out.
I'm leaning towards the vaccine being a carrot that never materialises. A trojan horse in other words.
Big Pharma like GSK, AstraZeneca and so on have been making drugs to high standards for years, they've never been able to crack the flu virus, and other flu derivatives (coronavirus like swine flu for example), especially as they mutate every year. They are pretty open that the vaccine may only work for three months.
So with that said, this is the first time in history that tens of thousands of healthy people (a day) have been convinced they are sick. That they are walking biohazards.
As mass surveillance, the app and other wearable sensors evolve, the local lockdowns will become more local. Towns > Postcodes > Household > individuals.
Monitoring citizens from their home, temperature, heat rate, and other vitals will tell citizens they are sick before they even know it. These citizens should self isolate until they can get a test.
The same mass biometric surveillance will be put to use for everything from advertising to insurance. When tied into your social credit score can be used to influence your behaviour including how you vote. In real time your biometrics could be read as you browse the internet or consume a Netflix series, product recommendations could be made on when you laugh, get angry or emotional at the content you are consuming in real time.
