A shy Dikdik (Madoqua kirkii) in Lake Manyara National Park, Tanzania. The Dikdik is one of the smallest antelope in the world, and, when frightened, emits a whistle through the nose which sounds like zik - zik - most likely the source of its name. Interestingly, Dikdiks rarely drink as the vegetation they consume generally contain enough moisture to sustain them. See www.mountainworldproductions.com for more!
