TZ-MAN-0081

A shy Dikdik (Madoqua kirkii) in Lake Manyara National Park, Tanzania. The Dikdik is one of the smallest antelope in the world, and, when frightened, emits a whistle through the nose which sounds like “zik - zik” - most likely the source of its name. Interestingly, Dikdik’s rarely drink as the vegetation they consume generally contain enough moisture to sustain them. See www.mountainworldproductions.com for more!
