Calvin & Hobbes – Let's Go Exploring!
Every now and then we manage to create something special – to me this hommage to my favorite comic strip Calvin & Hobbes and to one Simon Liu most certainly is.
I had great fun building with this – while it wasn't easy translating the 2D characters into a 3D medium I'm very happy with how this turned out!
Calvin & Hobbes were on display at Brickworld Chicago where they won the award for "Best Pop Culture" – still humbled by that.
Afterwards they went to the one that inspired this tribute: Simon will be taking them on a tour across North America so maybe you'll get to see the two brickbuilt rascals in person somewhere near you soon!
