Adventure Islands – A RogueBricks Collaboration
"Adventure Islands", a display put together by 11 members of RogueBricks, was on display at Bricking Bavaria 2021, a convention in the South of Germany.
This time we created an island landscape inspired by the classic Adventurers LEGO theme, movies like Indiana Jones or games like Tomb Raider or Monkey Island.
Originally the plan called for something completely different following up the massive success of Port Rogue but with the ongoing pandemic we decided to do something way more flexible: Connecting the individual modules with water baseplates allowed for a versatile layout that we could adapt in case someone had to stay home.
It proved to be a massive success, taking home 2nd place in both the public and expert voting categories – considering this was the "back-up plan" we were all thrilled!
Calling it a "back-up" of course doesn't do justice to all the work that went into this. As such please check out the collage highlighting everyone's work and some of the amazing details our members put into their builds.

- dbodky: Seaplane in dk tan and gray
- Legopard: Tomb Raider inspired Spanish Fort
- Marcel V.: Small corner island
- MGibarian: Duck island, inspired by Monkey Island; Native shrine
- modestolus: Big island with 2 peaks and tons of smaller islands across the layout
- noggy: Golden brick shrine
- rolli: Palm tree island with Mayan pyramid and native hut
- SkyWalter: Brown biplane
- Vaionaut: Teal adventurer base, small seaplane (Dornier Libelle) as well as the dk red and gray seaplane (Ford Trimotor) in the center
- YgrekLego: red and gray plane
Finally my sincerest thanks to each and everyone who made this possible! Seeing the kids lose themselves in our collaborations makes organising them so worth it!
