Tour de Paris

A year ago I built my 50s American gas station for the annual Norwegian event På Kloss Hold so it was only fitting to follow it up with something in a similar time frame and style.

For the longest time I’ve been wanting to build a small layout capturing the typical romantic look of France in the middle of the last century. Inspired by Paris I settled for the typical tall buildings, small cafés and stores and of course there had to be the iconic Citroën 2CV.

I also wanted to use this occasion to push myself in regards to more organic techniques and therefor decided to build a round display completely out of grid and without any right angles.

The chair design is blatantly copied from César who I also have to thank for the constant support along the way. Marcel was a big help when working on floor patterns - thank you!

Hope you like it, I had tremendous fun building this!
